Forever Black

At the SSAFW office we love wearing black, so for this year's student competition we asked entrants to re-invent the little black dress using recycled material. To end off Barbie celebrated her 50th birthday with a spectacular show, amazing Barbie inspired outfits from some of SA's top designers! We had over 4500 visitors at SSAFW yesterday, get down to the Sandton Convention Centre and make sure you do not miss out! - DA

build up at Sandton Convention Centre

There is only one thing more exciting than a designer fitting and store opening and that is the build up of the Auditoriums, VIP and Media lounges, make-up and hair rooms and all the beautiful Exhibition stands at SSAFW.
The growth of the Creative Fashion Design Industry over the past 13 years at SAFW is astounding.
We started with 17 designers showing their collections in 1997. This year 42 designers are showing their collections and 120 exhibitors are selling from their stands at the Exhibition.
